League Rules

Game Rules

• 2 – 18 minute halves with a running clock until the last minute of each half. 

  • 2 minute halftime

• Timeouts:  3 per game...1 additional for overtime. 

• 35 points will be the max score difference 

• Fouls -3rd – 8th grades, each player will be given 5 personal fouls. – Bonus applied (1 for 2) 

• Shooting foul – if made, basket will count and 1 additional point will be awarded

• Foul shots will be 1 for 2 or 3 (entire game) 

• Overtime  - 1st team to score 

 

League Rules 

• A Player must have played in a pool play game in order to play in the tournament with a team (unless there is an injury). 

 

3rd grade

Ball size – 27.5 (youth)

Rim height – 9 ft

Officiated by the high school players

 

4th grade 

Ball size – 28.5 (Women’s size basketball) 

Regular Rules will be followed - 

Rim height – 9.5 ft 

 

5th Grade - 6th Grade

Ball size – 28.5 

  (Women’s size basketball) - (6th can play 29.5 ball if both coaches agree, but 28.5 will be default) .   *This rule based on Utah AAU Rules

7th - 8th grade

Ball size – 29.5 (regulation)

Tournament Format 

✓ Top 2 Teams in each pool will advance to championship bracket the last week

( or top 4 teams total) 

✓ Remaining teams will match up for the last 2 games (final week) 

✓ Tie Breaker procedures
